3B Impact is leading an independent evaluation of the first 10 years of the Commonwealth Climate Finance Access Hub (CCFAH) in partnership with Centennial Advisory.

In operation since 2016, CCFAH deploys technical advisers, embedding them in the governments of 25 Commonwealth countries to help access climate finance from major funds. Funded by the governments of Australia, Canada, Mauritius, and the UK, the programme targets Small Island Developing States (SIDS) and Least Developed Countries (LDCs) – member states that are most immediately exposed to the impacts of climate change.

In line with country needs and government priorities, CCFAH advisers provide support across six main areas: project pipeline development; policy and strategy; capacity development; climate finance readiness; knowledge management; and gender and youth mainstreaming

3B Impact’s evaluation will align with OECD DAC criteria, focusing on CCFAH’s coherence with the wider climate finance support landscape, the depth and durability of its impact on institutional capacity, and the long-term sustainability of its funding model and programme outcomes.

Our findings will inform CCFAH’s strategic direction for the next 10 years.
