Pink Power
Enterprise, energy and transport opportunities for communities and women’s groups in Sierra Leone
3B Impact has established a collaboration with University of Makeni, University of Sheffield and local NGO Pink Power to research opportunities for impact businesses in Sierra Leone. We do this by:
- Collaborating with grass-roots, women-led NGO Pink Power and gender specialists from World Hope International Sierra Leone, to explore scalable commercial business models to create better jobs for vulnerable women.
- Our research in Sierra Leone also supports our work with off-grid energy company, Mobile Power, to understand the impact of energy access for rural communities, and supports larger-scale research projects to assess the economics of, and gender dimensions in, the informal transportation sector in the capital, Freetown, and in and around the main market town, Makeni.
